“When I did my first show with Kamiar Rokni, I remember him asking Ather Shahzad, “Who is she? She can’t walk at all,” says Mehreen Syed with a good laugh. “I have received the most criticism as a model,” she adds, evincing a sense of self-assuredness rare in an industry fraught with competition. After two months of interview reschedules, and juggling between a flight and fittings, she finally manages to make some time to give a glimpse of her evidently busy routine that goes beyond modelling.
Mehreen Syed was born in August 2, 1982. She ventured forth into the fashion industry of Pakistan at a very young age, making home an unfamiliar world filled with struggles and hardships. Devotion, dedication and hard work have all been what Syed witnessed in her mother; and are characteristics truly translated into her own career.

The 35-year old model is one of Pakistan’s top supermodels who has set national, regional and international fashion runways ablaze with her show stopping poise and confidence. She loves being on the runway and getting the chances to don on so many unique designs.
Over the span of her career, she’s been part of Pakistan’s major fashion shows, brand launches, commercials, magazine covers and fashion shoots (that is, the ones that are orchestrated by her mentors and friends Ather Shahzad.
Mehreen has been a part of several music videos of high-profile musicians like Raheem Shah, Junaid Khan, and Badnaam, while scheduled to be featuring in Abbas video. TV commercials have been a part of Mehreen’s working calendar throughout her career including names like EVO by PTCL amongst many others.

She married with a 35 year`s old business man Ahmed Sheikh. Their wedding held on Thursday February 21, 2013 in Lahore. There was crowd of celebrities but the most prominent were Neha, Shehzad of Ather Shehzad , Saba of La Chanetelle, Iffat Omer.

She has won the “International Model of the Year” award, the “Face of the Year” award, the “Glamorous Entrepreneur” award, and has been ranked 16th in the Hottest 50 Asian Women in the World and 10th in the World’s Sexiest Asian Women lists.
She won the Lux Style Awards for Model of the Year 2013. She said while talking about this acheivement, quoted by Express Tribune, “I finally got it after 10 years of being nominated every year. Even if people call me a buddhi model, I don’t mind. I’ll be a buddhi model and still do my thing.”
She was the first Pakistani model to have appeared on the cover of the popular Middle East fashion magazine Alamra. She is also the spokesperson of the world’s leading beauty brand ‘L’Oréal Paris’.

International Model of the Year Award 2005 winner model also appeared on the covers of several international fashion publications including Time, Vogue and Marie Claire.
Mehreen Syed ranks #10 in World’s Sexiest Asian Women 2012 list. She also runs a modeling academy under the name of International Fashion Academy of Pakistan.
Mehreen Syed Acting
Following her stint in debut film Chambaili, Mehreen’s acting career seems to be at a halt. “Actually, I got married …” she says with a sigh. “One has to prioritise and do things with a mutual understanding when married.”
“I wanted a baby right after marriage. That was the plan and I couldn’t be happier. If I had to pick, family would be my choice.”
Mehreen Syed, who was supposed to make her Bollywood debut in filmmaker Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan’s movie ‘Lahore’, was dropped out of the film at the last moment due to her pregnancy days, according to the Times of India.
