“Megan and Brian have decided to separate,” a source close to the couple tells People magazine. “They will always love each other very much and are devoted to their kids. Anything could happen in the future, but for now they’ve decided it’s best to take some time apart.”
According to US Weekly, the power couple split six months ago after arguing over her massive movie career. “Megan has separated from Brian,” a source told the weekly. “They decided it six months ago.” Another friend added, “Things have been rocky.”
The 29-year-old actress and the 42-year-old former teen heartthrob are parents to sons Noah Shannon, 2½, and Bodhi Ransom, 18 months. Green is also dad to son Kassius, 13, from his previous relationship with Vanessa Marcil.
The pair continued to spend time together despite publicly calling it quits, and they eventually got engaged again in June 2010. They wed 24 days later.
Fox has starred in several blockbusters, including 2007’s Transformers and the 2009 sequel as well as 2012’s This Is 40 and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
“They fight about her career,” a source relayed. “She was obsessed with getting roles.”
At the height of their relationship, they couldn’t help but gush over one another. When the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum guest starred on her ABC sitcom Hope & Faith in 2004, “it was like magic,” admitted Fox, who was just 18 at the time.
In the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Fox said that she still tries to make time for date nights with her husband. “We ask his mom to come once a week so that we can go to dinner, go have sushi or something like that,” she said. “But now that they’re so young, it’s just insanity.”
